Records with a month are grouped by the first month shown in their date label. Ranges, announcements, awards, and later printings keep their original wording. Overlapping windows and month-only dates do not establish exact release order. Entries without a month appear in a separate context section for their catalog year.

Read the scope, dating rules, and known gaps
Scope: Current catalog: 1996–2000. The original research edition covers the first five calendar years, 1996–2000. The archive combines Japanese and English TCG releases, selected licensed cards, distributions, awards, and documented production distinctions. A pictured entry may represent a family of variants.
Dating: A product’s launch date is not necessarily the date of every printing. Announcement dates, delivery dates, later print runs, and production errors are distinguished in the notes. A copyright year is not proof of a release year. In particular, the KFC campaign belongs to 1998, and Topsun’s printed ©1995 does not establish a 1995 sale.
Known limits: This is not a verified census of every licensed item, incidental Pikachu appearance, print defect, or personalized trophy. Some Kids variants use a shared-front reference; identifying differences are on the reverse. Several World Challenge trophy scans remain unavailable. English Neo Genesis Unlimited distribution before the end of 2000 is unproven. English Birthday promo 24 was announced in 2000 but delivered in 2001; the 2000 Sydney collection is a different issue.
Images: Real scans and specimen photographs, with no generated card artwork. Some originals are small or cropped from archival photographs. Source redactions are retained. Dates with unresolved precision remain labeled. The archive images preserve those limitations.
