The Pokémon Demo Game, often called the demo deck or demo pack, deserves its own place in the timeline. Collector references report distribution beginning in December 1998, with further distribution during 1999.
The fixed 24-card teaching pack included two Pikachu. Its cards used the ordinary Shadowless format and carried no special demo stamp.
What the photograph can tell us
The photograph above is a yellow-cheeked Shadowless reference, not a claimed scan of a card traced to a sealed demo pack. The card design and its distribution history are different kinds of evidence.
A loose card’s appearance does not establish demo-pack origin. Packaging, an observed opening, or reliable specimen provenance would be needed to make that connection.
Open archive entry P054. Additional packaging photographs and a fuller provenance study can be added to this page as the evidence develops.
